Well, I just saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Thought it was great. Its visuals were fantastic, it reminded me a lot of The Last of Us, which is a really good thing. I loved how they made each side less black and white and more of a grey (One of the problems I had with a certain dragon related movie). The apes definitely had some of the best characters. The only slight problem I had was that it was a tad predictable, but predictability isnt a huge negative to me as long as whats happening is pulled off well (See: Breaking Bad finale). Anyways, the movie is fantastic for summer blockbuster standards, Id definitely recommend it-- but first you should watch Rise, that movie really adds a lot of back story to the apes and gives them a lot more weight.
