Well, Im headed back to my home state of New York today, upstate - TopicsExpress

Well, Im headed back to my home state of New York today, upstate to be exact, for two weeks to see friends and family for the holiday. While its always fun to return home, Im not looking forward to having to live under the iron rule of Governor Cuomo and his minions for the time Im up there. Having been gone for so long, Im not fully aware of the laws that have been passed and what is and isnt illegal, and every time I return I fear Im going to unknowingly break a law then end up getting arrested for it. I find it incredibly sad that any state in our nation has grown to that point with its laws that people have live in fear daily that theyll be arrested for even the most inconsequential of crimes. New York especially, has seemed to create a revenue jackpot off victimless crimes that require a single court date that most plead guilty to then pay a fine. It amounts to nothing more than taxation based off behavior; the worse you behave, the more you pay in taxes. That type of governing is the polar opposite of what our founders had in mind, and is a direct result of greedy politicians looking for creative ways to screw us out of our money and trample on our rights. New York especially has some of the highest taxes in the country, then add to it the fact you can get a ticket if you spit on the sidewalk, cross the street in the wrong area, or even have a directional with a blown bulb on your car and what you end up with is a police state that appears to have oppression on the mind. Funny how New York has also been run by progressive liberals for decades as well, so imagine if they were given control over the entire nation for decades. Hell, weve barely been able to survive 6 years with a liberal president and divided Congress, so whats that tell you? Anyways, I just wanted to get that off my chest before I hit the road. If you dont see me posting as much for the next couple of weeks thats why, but Ill be back to normal coming into the first of the year. Merry Christmas everyone! And if youre traveling for the holiday dont forget that its better to arrive a half our late than it is to arrive in a body bag. Sean Brown
