Well Ive been doing this first day of school thing for 13 years now . . . and one thing never changes, my sons are growing up entirely too fast. The dilemma of motherhood is that my boys outgrow their need to be held but I will never outgrow my need to hold them. So as I let them go for another year, Ill grit my teeth and grab the quick hug they semi-willingly give me and Ill try to snap a picture for the scrapbook. Then, as they walk off down different halls of the school, Ill pray that this year (as those previously passed) will help prepare them to be the men God intends. Then Ill pray that He helps me let them go!
