Well, Ive been waiting for an answer or two before making this post, but after 30 hours in the ER, I figure I ought to write without any answers. Last week, I had some TMJ problems, and by the weekend, I felt I had a molar in trouble. Saturday my face started swelling on that (the right) side. Monday morning, I saw my Ann Arbor dentist who diagnosed a cracked tooth, did a root canal, and sent me home on an antibiotic. My symptoms got rapidly worse. Wednesday, I called the dentist back, and he switched me from Amoxicillin to Clindamycin. Thursday morning, it was so much worse Nathaniel and Miriam took me to the ER. Im still here. With IV antibiotics, the pain and swelling is down to what it was last Monday. There is presumably an abscess there but so far they havent isolated anything they can lance. Anyway, I assume the dentist will show up eventually and tell me to go home. Ill let you know when anything further happens! Thanks for your concern :-)
