Well Mike Bailey, thank you again for nominating me for this three-paintings-a-day for five days Facebook challenge. It has been fun, and I have enjoyed nominating other artists for the past four days. On this fifth day, I nomination Mr. David Peterson, an artistic fixture here in Sacramento and a wonderful gestural landscape watercolorist. Youre on, David. I thought that for my fifth day, I would go back to my passion, watercolor portraiture. The first portrait is titled Carrine. She is the artistic director of the Sacramento Ballet. Her portrait was published last year in the French art magazine Pratique de Art and in the 2013 World Watercolor Competition catalog Concours mondial del laquarelle . The second portrait is of yours truly. It was published last year in The World of Watercolor magazine and was exhibited at the World Watermedia Exposition Thailand . The final watercolor portrait is titled Pierre. He was a student in my drawing class at Sacramento City College many years ago. . . a very free spirit. His portrait was also published last year in both Pratique de Art magazine and the 2013 World Watercolor Competition catalog Concours mondial del laquarelle.
