Well, Walmart just lost another customer! Bob just came in from yet another UNSATISFYING shopping experience. Since there are never enough people to man the registers, he did the next-best thing - he took himself through the self check-out. Simple, right? NOT. They did allow him to get all the way to the door before both a man and a woman stepped out, took his bag and said it appeared he was leaving with something he hadnt paid for. They went through the bag, matching each item with the receipt and then the guy said he apparently had not demagnetized each item. He said, You have to demagnetize the item by placing it on that rubber mat! (He HAD been charged for the item, just hadnt set it down properly?%*# !) Bob said, I didnt know. (I can ALMOST picture this confrontation.....) Seems to me that if they are on an austerity program and cant pay enough clerks at the front of their stores, they should hold a weekly seminar for those people forced to check themselves out! Then the nice man said, Youre good to go. .. with not a smile or an apology for the embarrassment. Ya Gotta Love Walmart! NOT. Id like to go over right now and return the offending item, the one that he didnt demagnetize, but IM AFRAID THE BELLS AND ALARMS WILL GO OF WHEN I WALK IN THE DOOR.
