Well, a lot of life left the parsonage this afternoon as our dear granddaughters Mabrie, Hallie, and Landrie had to leave us. What a great weekend we had with the girls, and then Ryan Strickland, Tiffany Strickland, and Ben Vanderburg, joining us today for worship and a cookout. And oh, how blessed I was to baptize Landrie this morning. But, Momma and Daddy missed them and wanted them back soooo.......reluctantly we let them go! I must admit, however, after wrestling with Landrie in the tub last night I was reminded of how much energy it takes to keep up with them!!!!! I felt like Bill Dance trying to land a monster bass as she tried her best to escape my grasp! This evening as I stood waving in the driveway as they pulled away I was transported back to my grandmother Nannys house, watching forlornly out the window as we drove away with her waving until we were out of sight. Sigh.
