Well a weekend I could do with forgetting. Friday night back from Barcelona. Get back to my block exhausted after travelling to find it in darkness and lots of people milling about. A catastrophic leak on the top floor with water cascading down lift shaft etc. Go up stairs (14 floors thank you) in darkness - so much for emergency lighting to find my flat untouched, but as water and power is off, I am told to evacuate. Cause was power cut, air lock in the system and a water pump that failed to cut out so blew a pipe. Spent weekend with Simon Morris and family (thanks that bit was good) and finally returned home today, still waiting for my water supply to come on though so cannot cook my pasta. Only liquid is some Leffe Blonde, it might have to be sacrificed to the greater good. Not looking forward to the higher insurance bills that will surely result from this one.
