Well after a long day of tiny screws and much trial and error (THANKS to zigacetrtic.blogspot/2013/07/kmz-horizont-panoramic-camera-servicing.html) I managed to replace the light seals as well as clean and lube my Soviet Horizont panoramic camera (accidental low ball bid of $82- came through on eBay). This Soviet swing lens camera produces 21 jumbo negatives on a normally 36 exposure 35 mm roll with 120 degrees of coverage and fixed focus. After falling in love with the Kodak Panoram its easy to love this camera even more- after all one has f stops from 16 to 2.8 and 4 shutter speeds unlike the Panorams box camera limitations. I recommend the light seal repair to all those patient and intrepid. I ended up using scraps of window gasket foam and the original felt-like strips. Test photo from Ilford HP5, f/4, 1/60 second.
