Well, another very successful day at the old stockyard next to the National Guard Armory! The food drive for the fire-animal victims continues! SpokAnimal rolled in with ONE VAN FULL of animal food & Supplies!! Love that organization!! We no sooner got finished inventorying all of those donations and here comes trucks & trailers from Lewiston, Idaho! The Helping Hands Animal organization started a fundraiser-donation drive and their local citizens donated 11,000 POUNDS of food & supplies! They raised $3000 & spent half on livestock grain & earmarking the remainder for injured animals care! The police chief from Cottonwood, Idaho (hour south of Lewiston) hauled the grain! People have donated panels for livestock, hay....its amazing! We gave out some supplies today & it felt great! A Nourishing Hand Animal Rescue board member (our local rescue) has been on site for days logging in everything being donated! WASART has been active in organizing everything & kudos to them also! The sherriffs trailer tires are flat from all the weight & another trailer is required for storage! Amazing generosity from our Northwest neighbors!
