Well, as suggested by some, I made some changes to the puppy - TopicsExpress

Well, as suggested by some, I made some changes to the puppy confinement area for our little Beretta. I put a crate in it with the door off & expanded the area for her. Adding additional pee pads, etc. Last night, all was good. She seemed to like the bigger area. Today, some friends got together for a good-bye breakfast / lunch for another friend who is moving to CA. I was gone several hours, but when I left, Glory was in the pen with her daughter and all seemed OK. They were both snoozing and looked ever so comfy. I got home about 30 mins ago and when I walked through the kitchen door, I was met, not unexpectedly, by Glory and her mom, Abbey. OMG! What a mess! Someone had gotten into the kitchen trashcan and pulled out all the trash! On the floor were beer bottles, onion skins, potato peels, meat trays, baby food bottles, etc. What a mess! When I went into the living room to put down my purse and check on the puppy (who was much too quiet), lo & behold, Beretta comes skidding around the corner from the family room to greet me! ACK!!!! I have a 6 wk old, greyhound puppy running free throughout the house! By this time, Glory realizing her mistake in greeting me, went back into the confinement area, which has failed miserably, and stood there looking at me & wagging her tail. Someone, probably Glory, had pushed open the loose end of the exer-pen and both she & the little one were out and about! I could almost hear her saying, Look mom... It wasnt me... I was in here the whole time! At least, Im not seeing any pee or poo spots. Looks like she used the pee pads or either mom & grandmom cleaned up after her. I had to laugh.
