Well, darn! I missed it. From CA to PA shows this week, looking for humor. Meanwhile, back at ranch: deer charged through big front window The Village Grill where I live, Burlington, NC. It was half- price bottle of wine night & thus one of busiest nights of week. All seats taken, restaurant, bar & patio. Deer plunged thru big window, charged past checkin hostess, into bar where local people we all know, grabbed the 6-pt buck by antlers, wrestled it to floor as two more local folks jumped in to hold its feet. My Girls Night Out group went there tonight. Packed. Waited 25mins for table. Never b4. I guess reading about it in paper one thing. Hearing restaurant staff re-tell it quite another. :) Hostess said most asked: Is venison on the menu tonight? Made front page! Small town America lives & I was out of town. As said, Darn it! I would have loved to have seen it so I could say years from now, You remember that night that deer .... No, you dont want to know what happened to it. Keep laughing!
