Well done Josh running the streety with a stock standard engine against the production sedans in the Kurt Murdoch 1000 Race. Saturday night started great with the first heat starting from position 6th and finishing 1st in The very slippery first heat of the meeting. Second heat started in dramas with the car losing power before lining up for the race needing to be pushed started onto the track in 4th position got a great start ending in first place out of turn two on the first lap jumping out to a big lead over the rest of the field only to lose all power again with a couple laps to go, bummer got the car back to the pits searching for ages to find the problem and turns out to be the earth strap on the battery had failed. Big thanks to Spud Elliott for pinching the lead off his duel battery setup to keep us running. Third heat seen a very racey hooked up track Josh started in pole position next to his good mate Sam Grundy in the big ba falcon whom smoked him off the start taking the lead and Josh falling back to 5th place making one more spot back to finish in 4th position . Well done sammy winning your first heat in the new falcon. Into Sunday night for the fourth qualifying heat With little to no damage so far to the car starting out of 8th position managed finish in 5th place . 5th and final heat race was an awesome race with Josh starting from the rear of the field in position 10 and passing the entire field in the first lap to finish in 1st place was unreal drive around the outside right up against the fence. The weather gods decided to dampen the evening which cause a lengthy delay and caused the feature race to be shortened to 40 laps Josh qualified 8 from the 31 car field with 25 cars for the main event on a very wet slippery track which was going to be an advantage for us having much less hp than the majority of the field . Josh got a great start and made it into position 4 on the second lap making his way forward there was a incident at the rear of the field bring the yellows on and the car in front off Josh reacted quicker to the yellow call and Josh ran into his bumper which pushed the airbox back into the coil pack braking the leads of two cylinders. Josh continued to run in the fourth place on the restart but lost one position due to lack of power on the take off . Battled away for many more laps in 5th spot holding the pack up another car finally got past then quite a few more stoppages the race was shortend further to just 21 laps finishing in 6th place. Great effort making the street stock as wed as you could to finish 6th. Big Congrates to Stuart Fawcett, Josh Harm, Russell Cowley on the podium and young Richard Cook on the had charger award for the weekend.
