Well guys and gals, it is 6PM and that officially wraps up the Bunbury insight photo Competition. We would like to thank our official sponsor, Australind Home Hardware & Plants Plus for sponsoring the event, as well as all of the entrants and people who voted. In total we had 16 entries with over 650 votes submitted. It was good to see the entrants liking other peoples photos in a good display of showmanship, and the quality of the photos that have come out of our readers has been fantastic. In the end though, we can only have 2 prize winners, with first place deservingly going to Caddi Macfarlane with over 180 votes for this beautiful photo of waves crashing down the channel of the basalt rocks at the Back Beach. This photo and location clearly resounded with our readers, and for the win, Caddi will win a gift voucher for Australind Home Hardware for $40. In second place, is Callun Rodrigues, whom had the lead for a good part of the competition, with a total of over 150 votes, with this stunning photo of the Leschenault Estuary. For this, Callun will receive a $20 gift voucher for Australind Home Hardware, and you can see more of Calluns fabulous shots of the southwest at his page, Red Panda Photography - Both winners please private message the page with your Address in WA, and we will issue the prizes on Monday morning via post. Congratulations to both of you and thank you to everyone who entered, and stay tuned for more competitions in the near future. Whilst there are no other prizes available, here were a couple of the other favourites which we picked out from the submissions. Pictured in the top left is a wonderful shot from Kat Lane, of the Leeuwin, sailing past Bunbury. On the top right is a shot of the mangrove board walk on Koombana Drive, taken by Mitchell Adams. To the bottom left is a picturesque shot from Meaghan Winduss, of the Harvey Hills and the Harvey Dam, and in the bottom right is a time lapse shot of the City sent in by Rachel Downard. There were two other stellar entries from Rodney Fox and Barry Owen, and you will be seeing more of those photos soon. To all the entrants who missed out on a prize, stay tuned as we are already getting prizes for the next competition which will probably be held in December and will hopefully have bigger, better prizes! - Bunbury insight.
