Well, here goes. Saturday was my last prelim of the year as Miss Ohio Gay Pride. This year has been one of the most fantastic years of my life, Ive made so many new friends, and made a few enemys, but thats life I guess. Weve laughed, weve cried, weve gotten really drunk, and had some very sobering moments. We grew the system to ten amazing prelims, qualifying 21 contestants for state, added a whole new division to the system, encompassing every aspect of Gay Pride. As I sit here preparing for my step down, I think about all the ups and downs and how much Ive learned and how much Ive taken away from this experience. Honestly with out the support of my friends and family and all of you who come see me perform and enjoy what I do, I would not have made it through this year. In little over a month Ill be passing on the crown to my new sister, to one of the amazingly talented 21 contestants qualified this year, and I can only hope that They will be as proud to hold this title as I have been.
