Well, here it is... This novelty wedding cake is for Jo and Ray, who tie the knot tomorrow and is definitely one with a difference! I am calling it Highlander and it has taken more than three weeks of preparation from start to finish.. The top tier is a carved 9 rich fruit cake and the bottom tier is a 13 lemon drizzle cake which is filled with lemon curd and covered with white chocolate ganache beneath the fondant. Everything you see has been hand-modelled and hand painted and everything is edible (bar the tiny wires in the brides bouquet) including the rice paper marriage certificate and hand made Cake Lace. The grooms kilt has the Mc Callum tartan pattern that he is wearing and the suit is an exact match to his own. The brides dress is also a copy of her original Benjamin Roberts design.
