Well, here it is: the very first MissionMemoryMonday. Everyone keep this thing going. Everyone loves a good mission story - funny, inspiring, or miraculous. Just put em up. November 16, 2011. I showed up to the MTC with a bit of a cold. By the next morning, I had completely lost my voice. I was a little upset. I remember asking God why, if he wanted me to learn Spanish, did I lose the ability to speak for those first few days? Well, that prayer was answered. But not immediately. Slowly, over the course of two years, the answer to that question was unfolded to me. Because that question, essentially, is asked by all humans. The question why do bad things happen to us? For two years, nothing about my body seemed to be right. I always felt sick, always felt weak. I simply couldnt go any further. But then I did. As I relied upon the strength of the Lord, he endowed me with His strength, a power beyond my own. He stripped me of what I had, then replaced it with what He had. And Ill forever be grateful. The strength given to me helped me be an instrument in bringing to pass the salvation of those that chose to accept the truth. #missionmemorymonday
