Well its that time again friends. For those of us who were blessed by the grace of God to have seen the last day of the year 2014 and begin the new year of 2015. Some didnt make it to the New Year. Im sure most of them started the new year 364 days or 52 weeks ago with no idea they wouldnt see it end. It has been a tough year for many of us. I made foolish mistakes. Poor judgement caused me to make foolish decisions. I got to know people who forever changed my life. Some good and some bad. I have not done things I now wish I had. On the flip side of that I have done things that I wish I hadnt. I remember as my sisters Traci Phipps and Tonya Phipps and I were growing up we loved Christmas and the New Year. Most of you who know us know that we didnt grow up in the same setting as most. Our childhood was not anything like everyone elses. Details arent important. We lived with our grandparents in very old homes. When we werent with them we were with our Aunts and Uncles and cousins. But no matter where we were or what we were doing we were together and we were best friends. We slept in the same room and even slept in the same bed until I was grown. I thought those days were horrible. I know my sisters had to have felt this way as well. But Traci and Tonya I think back on those times now and I know those were the best days of my life. I miss us laying in bed all crowded up so that we couldnt roll over or move much at all or one of us was gonna be knocked off the bed into the floor. We had casts on broken limbs. Stitches from heads to toes. We fought with butcher knives and ball bats all day. Traci and I fought everyday for days one summer and laid in bed at night right beside each other saying those prayers and exchanging I love you. We were bad ass kids Traci. Lol. We hung Tonya from the magnolia tree and left here there while we went to eat lunch. We gave her the whole box of...... well we know what we were like. But we were also blessed beyond measure. We 3 girls were always included in every fun thing our cousins did. They never minded that their vacations would include us 3. It was never questioned as we all knew the 3 of us were gonna do whatever they did. So many people have graced our lives and shared their life with us. We are all grown up now with kids and even grand kids and again we were blessed as all our babies are healthy and awesome. Im glad for every year I see end and the new ones I am privileged to begin. But of all the 47 years Ive had my best memories are the days we 3 girls were sisters/BFFs on Tippah Lake road. And the family that loved us. Danny Charlotte Bobby Christie Kevin Wendy Robert and Raynee for sharing your childhood with us. I love you all and hope you and my sisters have a wonderful New Year. And although Kerry Lynn isnt here with us now he will never be forgotten.
