Well, just like LeBron, I wasnt planning on hosting a press - TopicsExpress

Well, just like LeBron, I wasnt planning on hosting a press conference to announce my decision, but someone already did it for me (thanks Brianna Lynne Verdoodt). To dispel any rumors, I publicly declare I am taking my talents to Chippewa Valley High School. About three weeks ago I was offered the athletic director position at Chippewa Valley, but the promotion was not official until I was formally appointed at last nights Board of Education meeting. The decision is bittersweet, as Utica Community Schools is the only public education system I have known as a student and employee. Every year since I was a four-year-old entering preschool at Schuchard Elementary, UCS has somehow been a part of my life as a student, substitute teacher, coach, teacher, and athletic director. Stevenson High School is full of so many great educators, students, and families. I will miss them all tremendously, as well as the countless other friends and colleagues Ive made throughout the entire district. This decision was not easy, but sometimes in life you have to be selfish and do what you think is best for your career, future, and family. I owe too many people too many thank yous to create a list (and before I get too emotional), so I will simply say I would not be the person I am today without Stevenson High School and Utica Community Schools. Fortunately for me, Stevenson and Chippewa Valley compete in many different sports, so I will be blessed to continue to witness firsthand the athletic achievements of the kindest, smartest, most passionate, hardest working, and talented group of kids any community to ask for. Thanks again to everyone for all of your support and I hope we keep in touch!
