Well just when we thought little Maxy was getting better...turns out what we thought was a blocked anal gland was an infected hot spot on his bottom and tail. When he was is hospital and the first day out he still had diarrhoea and some of that got caught in his thick fur. The fur then suffocated it and without air, it became moist and infected. His bottom is now shaved and hes on more antibiotics. Our lovely vet is certain he will be better in a day or two. Our poor little dude is quite uncomfortable now that its shaven, its breaking my heart. He was given a pain killer injection and will continue his normal tablets too. We just cant believe his luck. That will do now, please! Max will fight everything that gets thrown at him :)
