Well last time i forgot to focus on the last clause because it has - TopicsExpress

Well last time i forgot to focus on the last clause because it has become so commonplace - I am the LORD your God - or YHVH is our ’elohiym - over & over & over again God is drilling His name into their heads in the scriptures so daily remembering His attributes - He who is (everywhere & all powerful & all knowing) is probably one of the goals of this constant reinforcement; also God is high on us not doing idolatry, so He doesnt want us worshiping any other god besides Him so telling us His name all the time is reminding us not to get confused by people who claim to be servants of God but their god is not YHVH. Num 10:11 And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony. 12 And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran. 13 And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 14 In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. 15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar. 16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon. 17 And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle. 18 And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur. 19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. 20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel. 21 And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came. 22 And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud. 23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. 24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni. 25 And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. 26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran. 27 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan. 28 Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward. K so after everything that has happened before (barring any prophesies that we covered dealing with the future) in the 20th day of the 2nd month of the 2nd year God decided to have the people move & it appears that they obeyed how God told them to do it in chapter 2 except that only the Kohathites were in the order given by God after squad 2 & the Gershonites & Merarites appear to be ahead of themselves after squad 1 so they get there earlier than the Kohathites so they can start to prepare or set up the tabernacle before the Kohathites get there with the Ark. Well there does not seem to be any repercussions from this adjustment they made to the word of God in Num 2:17, but i always want to focus on when people obey & when they make stuff up as they go along. Well all the captains are the same from chapter 2 so nothing happened to any of them in the last 20 days. So i am going to look if i can find Paran on the bible atlas hold on - so as far as i can tell this leg of the trip was approximately 100 miles. And the last clause of the section has that word again armies: 6635 צָבָא, צֹבֶה [tsaba’, tsâba’ah /tsaw·baw/] n m. From 6633; TWOT 1865a, 1865b; GK 7372 and 7378; 485 occurrences; AV translates as “host” 393 times, “war” 41 times, “army” 29 times, “battle” five times, “service” five times, “appointed time” three times, “warfare” twice, “soldiers” once, “company” once, and translated miscellaneously five times. 1 that which goes forth, army, war, warfare, host. 1a army, host. 1a1 host (of organised army). 1a2 host (of angels). 1a3 of sun, moon, and stars. 1a4 of whole creation. 1b war, warfare, service, go out to war. 1c service. - so again there is probably a change in the mindset of the people from refugee to soldier as God doesnt want His people having a poor self image thinking that they are no better than slaves - well later on we will get to this section - 1 Cor 7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. 21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. 22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant. 23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. 24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God. - Course free in the context here probably means not married because this is the relationship chapter but we can still take the verses for what they are saying & apply them to people who are either free or enslaved - so in the NT age we are to 1) abide in the calling where we are called; so it is no big deal if you get saved as a slave (blessed are the poor in spirit & just remember to obey God first - Acts 5:29) & if you can secure your freedom in the physical world, use it to secure other peoples freedom in the spiritual. 2)If God calls you while you are a slave on earth that He sets you free in your heart & if He calls you while you are free on earth that you become His slave. Well that is just one small section of the bible & a lot more should be tied in when i bring it up, but i will just bring up a couple so people dont think i forgot anything important - Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: - even if we are Gods slave our relationship has many levels & one of them is His children, another is spouse - Isa 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. So next time we will take a look at a convo that may be displaying that Moses had a less faith in God than i thought He did; or perhaps it was moreso that he wanted to be generous & share the blessings?
