Well, loved ones. I was awakened at six this morning by my son who stated in a loud voice that his sister, Samantha, could not find shoes for school, and will not even bother herself to look for them. So I got myself up out of bed before he woke up Savannah, who sleeps with me. I go into the bedroom, and even though the children, all four of them, ages ranging from sixteen down to five, have been told repeatedly to clean, it is, of course, trashed. I had allocated a spot under one of the beds for shoes to go; though Samis and Savvys shoes are supposed to go into a kitchen cart in the living room, which bins that I sewed liners for. So that no one has to go looking for shoes. Nothing that was a matched pair was to be found in the cart; so I went into their bedroom. I looked under the bed, and eventually found a pair of shoes mixed in with trash, clothing, toys and food wrappers. Meanwhile, all three children sat on their asses and watched me look. The kids are not supposed to eat in their room. But they do. I had to get on hands and knees to look.. which hurt my abdomen, and is the reason I take pain pills every day. So I am in pain today, loved ones. Needless to say, I will not be taking the children to their performance this evening; they will miss it. But in so doing I am hoping to further drive home that mommy is not a commodity. They made my pain worse; therefor they miss out.
