Well my Aunt Vivvy passed her first audition… they liked 6 of her paintings for the new Gallery where I live. Whats fantastic is that theres a printing press in back of the Gallery so we can make prints of her paintings on demand. On Saturday, Im taking the Gallery owner to my storage unit to see the rest. Keeping all crossed! Viv wouldve been so proud. She really shone through her work today! Born in 1920, she was in the British Military, during WW2, and then came to Canada to serve for the Canadian Airforce. She earned a scholarship and became an Artist and studied under Arthur Lismer, in Montreal, in the late 40s, and then with the AGO, Ontario Art Gallery, in the 50s. She continued painting in Oils/Acrylics, and drawing with pastels and water colors until the year she died, in 2007, at 87. Viv never had a show her whole life. She just painted for the pure LOVE of it. :) vivienkershaw
