Well, my Thanksgiving was great! We started out last night with a burst water pipe so we had to turn off the water main. No water on Thanksgiving Day. My brother went to the Winn Dixie and picked up bottled water. OK so no shower today. The plumber will come tomorrow. Anyway, not to be discouraged, I managed to cook the turkey breast, green bean casserole, dressing, opened some candied yams and cranberry sauce, microwaved some Bob Evans mashed potatoes. My brother brought the Cabernet Sauvignon. Dinner was fabulous if I must say so myself....lol. My love for the Food Channel paid off. At 5:3o p.m. I headed for Walmart for the Black Friday sales. What a zoo but such fun. I snagged a 32 LED HDTV for $98, coffee maker for $9.99, and a pair of bar stools for $49. Once I dropped those off at moms, I headed to Target to try to get a 55 HDTV for $239 but the line was unbelievable and they werent even letting people inside for another 45 minutes. It was freezing so I didnt even get out of the car. As I was driving back I decided to pull into Best Buy since I was passing by it anyway. As luck would have it, I snagged the last 50 Samsung HDTV for $399, about 50% of the regular price. Im not sure how Ill fit it intro my car to get it back to Pompano Beach but Ill figure it out. Ill keep the 32 TV for my bedroom in Jax. and take the big one to Pompano. Cant resist these Black Friday sales!
