Well my thanksgiving plans changed when I got a call Monday from Madisons dads boss...her dad is at the Portland Burn Center, but will be fine. I didnt say anything on facebook til now to respect his privacy until he told everyone. He may be my Ex...but he is also the father to my precious daughter and I do care...I was with him for 9 years and have know him for over 15 yrs. I would not wish someone getting burnt like that. Madison and I talked to him last night on the phone, pain is getting worse because nerve endings starting to grow back...but they got him on heavy pain meds so he was feeling good...lol...the best way to talk to an ex medicated.just kiddiing. I strive to maintain a civil caring relationship with my exs for the sake of the kids. Anyway, he was canning berries and somehow his back tweaked or something and shirt caught on fire and whole left side burnt ..he jumped in shower to put out fire and drove himself to Bay Area and they flew him to burn center...needless to say Madison is not going to spend Thanksgiving holiday with him...which I am glad to have her home but sad about the reasons. He is waiting to see if skin grafts are needed...luckily his face just looks sun burned really bad he said ..Madison gets creeped out at blood and weird skin things or medical shows, so I was worried about that. I told him no worries that he can have madison over when he gets back for the weekend if he up to it even though it not his weekend.. I have finally reached a point since divorce with both exs...that we dont follow the stinking custody papers word for word. We do pretty good at respecting each others wishes when something comes up.etc...He will be fine and back to work in no time it sounds... so I am going to enjoy this nice long with weekend with all my kids....well Dylan will see his dad for a day along the way...Hope everyone has a happy turkey day!!..
