Well my wife, Karen George Hameed, has challenged me to an Ice - TopicsExpress

Well my wife, Karen George Hameed, has challenged me to an Ice Bucket Challenge. I dont mind a good soaking every once in a while, especially since the heat index is above 100 degrees in Savannah. Instead, I would rather donate hard cash. Weve watched our dear friends Don Rader and Christa Corley Rader deal with ALS (The Beast). Donnie was diagnosed ALS several years ago and hes been confined to a wheelchair for the last 2 years. His identical twin, Ronnie, has been spared the disease. Even though we know an immediate cure is unavailable, we hope research will triumph over this dreaded disease. We made a short film about Donnie called THE BLACK ARROW with the help of 2 SCAD graduates Jennifer Marie Bird and Luke McMahon, along with special thanks to Dr.William Garrett, Savannah neurologist extraordinaire. Karen and I will donate $1 [in the name of the Rader family] to the ALS Association for each person that WATCHES our short film about Donnies struggles on vimeo. The link keeps track of views per day, and in ONE WEEK, we will add up the total and make a donation. vimeo/70891184 and the password is TBA_2014 The Black Arrow The Black Arrow has been an incredible journey. One that was very unexpected. Much like the black arrow motif in the film, we did not choose this story. It chose us. Our friends and executive producers, Yusuf Hameed and Karen Hameed, were searching for filmmakers to depict a family that was close to them. That family was the Raders, a family local to Savannah, and with whom our story centers around. It all began with a desire to help someone who had had everything taken from them.
