Well out of our 7 runners, we may loose 2 for a while. keep george and his brother carlos in your prayers, not that there is anything physically wrong with them, but mentally just couldnt take direction/constructive criticism this morning. The story goes like this: we are running the streets of Curahuasi, jp george and carlos are cutting blocks, taking short cuts, after several I say Guys thats not fair, those that are not cutting should receive more points then those that are. With just those words instead of saying My bad, Ill do better now like JP did, they put their heads down and squirm home. I see what they are doing and I try to reason with them, but they dont even make eye contact with me as they enter their house. I wanted to yell, take a little critism like men, you 2 year olds! Anyways this is the story of many children here. You correct them in anyway and they cant handle it, their mode of defense is to try to make you feel bad so you will take back what you said/gain the upper hand again. I dont know. Pray that they dont drag on this sad tail and not keep running, they love to do it, but their proud little punks at a times too. After the run I went and talked to their mother and told her what happened, it went ok I think, JP is just a little worried that they wont talk to him today at school. It will be all right, just sad to see a good rhythm we had going/ momentum get tripped up.
