Well some good news: the scientific symposium that I proposed for American Academy of Chiild and Adolescent Psychiatry has been accepted as a Clinical Conference, and the one I proposed for American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry was one of only 3 scientific symposia that were accepted! We will be presenting the scientific data regarding marijuanas harm to adolescents in terms of IQ/Cognition, Addiction, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and Psychosis/Schizophrenia. Slight bad news, I am not eligible for the $1,500 stipend everyone else on my team is getting, because I am a member of the AAAP. Way to reward my membership, guys :-( This is a really big stage to present on, though! Im chairing the events, despite having less research bona fides than the other guys... I have the time because I am not stuck writing and manging grants. I am sure glad that 126 hours I worked over 9 days paid-off... otherwise, I would be eternally bitter ;-)
