Well the Overton gang and Mason boys combined forces this morning, for a successful combination, with the fundraiser BBQ venture, at Bourke Road General Store. Ran out of snags and raffle books by mid morning and had to race off and buy some more sausages. It must have been Tigers secret ingredient additive on the onions, 4xxxx Gold...Too funny!!! Hope your toddlers can walk a straight line haha, I know my husband,son and dad enjoyed them lol So they cooked up a total of 260 sausages, sold 3 books x 100 raffle tickets and had an abundance of by passers just pulling up to donate into the cans without even wanting a sausage sandwich. Honestly...how good is that!!! Thank you to all visitors at Bourke Road General Store this morning, especially our new friend, and regular customer,that had already donated two Jerseys to the store,also bought $100 worth of raffle tickets,very,very kind of you. Matt and Michelle Overton did such a fantastic job,even putting up balloons to draw attention to the BBQ, plus a great idea to put 2 A frame stands with Maloney Fundraiser plastered over them,on the corner of OB road to indicate traffic to turn. Fantastic!! Pretty sure they all thoroughly deserved the cold beers they were sinking when I turned up...Think Ray Mason arrived at the right time as well...just as Matty O was shouting another round... So the reward for their hard days work ..was $760 for the BBQ and $378 for raffle tickets, plus lots of $$$$ in the cans. $1138 counted up for the Kim and Todd Maloney Benefit Night...UNREAL!!! Legends the lot of you !!
