Well, the Readers Choice winners were in todays paper. I sure got some laughs out of reading it. I must admit I did agree with a few of the choices but a lot were just laughable! I realize the Meteor does this to make money off the ads placed by winners and its a fun thing. However, I wish it was taken more seriously! The people/ businesses that truly deserve these titles should be recognized or acknowledged as such! What I find amusing is that it only takes a quick scan to see who stuffed the ballot boxes. Year after year, I get a good laugh out of this! When you see a family or business that wins/ties in a lot of categories, its easy to figure out. Its actually a big joke for the most part. And that is just my opinion, so please feel free to disagree. Its not about who actually deserves or should win a category, its stuffing the ballot box by family, friends, etc. like I said, its a fun thing for many but I would like to see people/businesses chosen on their deserving merits instead of the way its apparently done!
