Well, the way I see it, if the SPD aren´t able to step over their own shadow and accept working with Die Linke and help create a coalition of SPD/Grüne & Linke to govern Deutschland, then it´d be best for all three parties to remain in the opposition, to weaken the influence of the conservative right alliance of CDU/CSU. I mean, look at it logically, the SPD/Grüne/Linke have 319 seats in the new parliament as opposed to the CDU/CSU with only 311 seats, thats an 8 seat majority.
