Well today is the day we elect the new member of the council. Both candidates appear to be genuine honourable men so I have to find some way of deciding. I am going to vote for the candidate who lives, works and has roots in the town. The candidate who will pay the same precept as me. The candidate who I believe will be best for the town. The candidate who speaks for himself and who took the trouble to post leaflets and to call on me. I am not going to vote for the candidate who is also a member of another council and despite what is said will have split loyalties. I am not voting for a candidate who does not pay the same precept as me and has no roots in the town. I am therefore going to support Geoff Davies and I urge everyone else to do the same
