Well today was Obamas day in Nashville. Once again he made his commitment to by pass Congress in a big way and there were those who stood and applauded. Of course the people allowed in the building were all hand picked students, reporters, and other politicians. Outside, across the street there were two small groups, much like the last election, about equally split, some for Obama, and some against. Altogether their numbers were small, maybe less than 200? One would have thought with all the issues and events of the past several years, there would have been thousands of Anti Obama protesters, and only a handful of supporters, but nope, they were split about 50/50. If today was any indication, the problems that are tearing this country apart arent going to end any time soon. The Anti Group was protesting all the things one would think they might. Mostly Obamacare, and Gun control. What amazed me most was what the pro Obama people had to say. One lady, said she supported him because she felt the country was better of economically today than it had been in some time. If that wasnt enough stupidity to turn your stomach, I watched as a young man spoke to a reporter and with a straight face, very seriously said, I think in reality Obama has actually cut the deficit in half since coming into office, and the number of unemployed people in the country has decreased significantly.. Given all the information available today, all the statistics that say those things arent so, these people made their statements with heartfelt conviction. To come to those conclusions you would have to live under a rock, or be an idiot of major proportion. It was then it struck me. We are fighting the wrong battle. We are fighting a system that no longer follows the rules or the law. We are fighting Politicians who serve everybody but the people. We are fighting a president that believes he does not have to respect the law or the constitution, and a Congress that doesnt have the balls to stand up and say enough, youre out of control, and this needs to stop. You dont think so? At the sotu address the other night, Obama brought criminals, illegal immigrants, into the senate chambers, to support his immigration reform policy, with the promise that they would not be arrested by immigration officers, or harassed in any way. Anyone else see the implications of that action? Then again the truth is that isnt what we should be battling. What we need to be fighting is stupidity and ignorance, because until we over come those two factors, this country will continue to plummet downhill like a snowball headed for hell.
