Well, we are finally doing it...For most of my life I have wanted to move into the bush, have chickens, grow my own, and live closer to nature and we are finally on our way. We are building a small sustainable house in the bush, the slab is currently going down, and we have been slowly collecting organic fruit trees and other things along the way. We have them growing in large bags and pots until we are ready to put them in. Here is our first bit of produce from one of our many new lemon trees :) We also have a few mulberries ripening up on our dwarf mulberry tree, even though it is still tiny! I will post our progress along the way. We are doing a self build, so it could either be great or a complete disaster :) But the great thing is that we are doing it, so it will well and truly be our little house. And there is something great about being able to produce your own eggs and other food from your own land, so I look forward to the challenges ahead. We will certainly be getting plenty of vitamin D :)
