Well we had a great time in Prezzo, Hull tonight! We had gone shopping late and had intended to buy food for tea while there and cook it when we got home (Fajitas if you must know). However by 5.30pm we had the family grumps and tea seemed a long way off and a lot of effort from that point until it happened, so I said in my head f*ck it, were off to Prezzo and said to Paul, shall we just have tea here? And he slowly nodded, his face ashen with hunger. Well, first mistake was treating the kids to a Fanta and a Sprite. Something we never really do (remember the words I had said to myself). Cue 5 and 7 year olds acting like psychotic drunken teenagers in posh restaurant, then of course one of them wants the loo so I take them, which then turns into a lengthy you know what, so the food has arrived and is getting cold. Mine is soooo salty, I have to tell them and wait for a different dish which feels like punishment for complaining as this one is so spicy that even one pasta tubes makes my ears itch on the inside and then Rothko knocks over and smashes his Sprite bottle before Huxley falls off his chair crashing backwards on to the sofa behind, then we have to wait 25mins just for the 2 scoops of icecream from the meal deal as they forgot about it....while the children are going nuts with impatience. I left laughing.
