Well what a weekend! Beautiful weather and a beautiful ride was had by many. Here is a short little video of Miss Hope being her wonderful self and packing my man along. We did our saddle club poker ride on Saturday, it was so nice out and things went great. We crossed a belly deep river without a question, though my heart was racing thinking of how quickly good times can go bad.. She went right through and Josh learned how to tuck his legs up real high at times we rode with 10-15 riders and she didnt do a thing wrong, maybe pin her ears at a cute gelding trying to talk with her but not even a squeal while under saddle behind horses she didnt know. She really seems to enjoy herself out on the trail and Josh is wanting our son to ride her as he felt she was very safe and has a good brain on her. Know that is saying a lot coming from a motor head who trusts twisting throttles much more than horses.. I think she will give him confidence as I tend to choose horses that might be a little hotter so to speak for myself so he has never shown a ton of interest in riding. In fact I dont think he thought he was going to have as much fun as he did. So with that said I know I promised great pics but we were all having so much fun I forgot to do much besides at first when I was making sure my phone was working. Overall Hope is making big strides around here and is learning to trust us more and more each day, she tends to be really sensitive about her muzzle and want to get away from that type of touch almost like she is claustrophobic about. I always give her a way out of it but still make her let me do what I wanted to in the first place, on the other hand I am one of those people who likes to love on them and give kisses etc. well this weekend she was much more relaxed and excepted a lot more of my affection so I think we are finally cracking into her trust layer :) This weekend will go down on the books as Hopefully the first of many great rides to come, we are even booking a trip out west for next summer!
