Wendy M Christie 10-7-13 I have been talking a lot about The Harvest lately, well, that is because it is HERE!!! I was able to meet an actual Farmer the other day and we got to talking. My husband told Him that I wrote a book and he asked what kind of book, so I told him it was a Christian book and he said, "You know, when ever I do what I feel like God is telling me to do, it just always works out." I said "Praise God!!!" I told him that the Lord had given me a couple of words... ONE was that there are many who God has purposely held harvest back for many years even, so He could slam us with a huge blessing all at once and Suddenly!!! The SECOND one was that the plowman is about to overtake the reaper - meaning that there is so much Harvest that we will not be able to get it all in before it is time to sow. This particular Farmer said that he had a partner farming with him and that everyone told them to plant their seeds into the ground at a certain date but they felt led to plant a little later. After he heard what I said, His eyes got really BIG and he said, "You know people told me to plant two weeks earlier than I felt led to, but I waited and it has been the difference between having a harvest and not having one at all." Then he said, "And you know I have equipment that tells me how much harvest is coming in and it compares it with the years before. This is the biggest harvest we have had in over 10 years!" Glory to God! God is showing us signs and confirmations in the natural of what He is saying from the Spirit! A couple of questions to ponder on and think of this with a Kingdom mindset, not just in the natural, but in the Spirit... Does a Farmer sow seed into the ground and not expect a Harvest to come up? Does a Farmer sow one type of seed into the ground and expect some other fruit to pop up? Does a Farmer after the Harvest is ripe, fail to get out his Sickle and bring in the Harvest only to let it rot in the field? You believe that there is one God, you do well; even the demons believe and tremble. But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Do you see how faith worked with his works, and from the works faith was made complete? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God." You see then how a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. And in the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she had received the messengers and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2:19-26 MKJV) So what is faith above? It is hearing the Voice of God and believing what He is telling you to do say or be. What is our acceptable works? It is acting on the FAITH we have in what God told us to do, say or be. What does this equate to? Being Spirit Led... This is how God will get ALL the Glory, because He is the one who initiated what HE said to do say or be in Him... So what does this have to do with seed time and harvest? The message is clear, BE SPIRIT LED about all things, but specifically, be Spirit led in your Sowing and your Reaping. Sometimes you will have to get out your sickle and bring in the Harvest that is just sitting there waiting for you to harvest it... Thank You Father for leading us and guiding us and help us to submit to Your Will and Your Ways in Jesus Name, amen...
