Went back home today, for the funeral of my step-fathers sister. - TopicsExpress

Went back home today, for the funeral of my step-fathers sister. Took my Mom. At age 95, it was a celebration of her life. It was also the end of a generation. The Wallace/Parrott family plots are side by side. Mom sat under the tent, with family. I chose to stay under my umbrella - with my left foot cuddled against my step-fathers grave stone. That may be strange to some, but was a connection for me. Saw old family friends, saw my sister, Laura Wallace Cowan, who had placed a wreath on her dads grave. Touching and so very thoughtful -- made my heart happy. Walked over to my Dad/s grave after the funeral. So much love in that particular cemetery. Those two men shaped me, loved me, and touched my life --- each in their own way, but unconditionally. Days like today remind me, and I am so very grateful.
