Went to Truckee for 4th of July ,went for a road bike ride to Boca and Stampead reservoirs ,great ride not many cars , even though it was the 4th. Sunday mt bike with my son Kyle ,NOTHING better than a active outdoor lifestyle with family .Pre rode Rim Nordic Tuesday with Rick then Friday with Dave Cartwright.Raced on Sunday, my goals where to not fall over or crash and bleed or push the bike up the steeps.Lets put this way i have learned how to pick my self off the ground really fast,its just taken a lot of practice, so much for not bleeding!Far as the pushing the bike up the steeps ,i was lucky that those who had to push got out of my way and encouraged me to make it to the top without having to push, i was really pumped to beat that demon.It was a great and fun race with a lot of awsome people and friends, whatever outdoor activity you are doing! Just do it now with family or friends , its what life is all about right ?The coolest part of this event is to see all the young kids and husband and wife racing together way to go Doug and Louise you guys are awsome, Doug you need to slow down a little so i can keep up.Remember NO EXCUSES!
