Went to a shop and met a classmate and a colleague. Apparently he was just coming himself and being that we had not seen for the past 7 years, there was a lot of catching up to do. So we were basically going through the same aisle gisting and picking the things I wanted. The drama began when we got to the counter. I put my things for billing and gave the cashier the money. The cashier asked for my colleagues name (I thought it was just a normal acquaintance seeking) and the next thing she wrote out my receipt in the guys name. I was shocked. I asked her why the name and she told me she thought it was oga. What???!!! I exclaimed. Who gave you money? She said I did. So??!! It would have been a different thing if I had dropped the goods and the guy produced the cash. Of course she had to write another receipt in MY NAME! I honestly dont even blame her as our mentality here is that a woman cant get things for herself and woe be tide her let her be accompanied by a man and she pays it is assumed that the man gave her the money and thus the receipt in his name... My colleague has been laughing at me claiming I have not changed. I suppose change before? Odikwa egwu!
