Went to bed a little late, slept pretty sketch. Or, at least thats sure how it seemed. We forewent the AC yesterday, and we both thought we might die. This morning, it was 85 degrees at 8am, so my husband turned it on. Now the thermometer on the porch says its 100 degrees (in the shade). Grateful he thought to act, while I was determined to suffer to save dollars. We both felt sick from it later in the day yesterday. The news says there is high potential to break heat records this weekend. I dont need to be fully present for the contest to witness it. Took an allergy pill, and yup - now I am having more severe allergy symptoms. (When I was a baby, the Measles shot also gave me the Measles...) I went from a mildly stuffy nose to a nose that requires all this active maintenance - aromatic for trying to breathe, sneezing, blowing. Yes, thats much better than the mild stuffiness I was experiencing earlier. :/ AND I have some crud in my chest (hoping it, too, is mostly about allergies...) Still, with the AC on, perhaps something more will get accomplished here today. And no one will almost die from the heat exhaustion of accomplishing it. ((sigh))
