Went to get my blood tests done today. Never fun as I have hard to find veins apparently but the woman drawing the blood was very kind and reassuring. She noticed I was reading a book by Louise Hay about self healing and affirmations and we had a very nice talk about how not only are the mind and body connected but all of life is. She told me shes there learning required skills so she can return to Africa and volunteer to help people from the bush get health care. As I walked back to my car it seemed everyone was happy as people I passed smiled and say hello, not always typical behavior in LA. I had an overwhelming feeling that people were good and really want not only help for themselves but to help others. So as I had put off getting my blood drawn for a while and finally did it, I treated myself to dinner at my favorite Deli Brents and got a tri salad. Its tuna salad, egg salad and turkey salad but I swapped the turkey for chopped liver. OMG this food is sooooo good! Im grateful to God for all my blessings and every day of life I have. Im grateful for all my friends like you and for the chance to make new friends and share smiles with people I meet.
