Went to the opening reception for the wonderful exhibit Imogene Cunningham: Paris in the Sixties. at the Harvey Milk Photo Center with photo pals Kathryn MacDonald, Melissa Castro, Margot Hartford and Naomi Fiss. Whilst browsing the pictures OF Imogen Cunningham I came upon a diptych of Imogen at SFAI. Leaning in to read the caption I exclaimed, I know Ingeborg Gertes. who happened to be standing right behind me. What a delightful surprise! Lovely program included Judy Dater speaking about her famous portrait of Imogen and Twinka in Yosemite and her long friendship with Imogen. And Twinka was there as well. Curator Jane Reed explained the history of this rarely seen collection.
