Graphic Designer - Forsyth County News The Forsyth County News (forsythnews) is looking for a graphics-focused Print/Digital Designer committed to improving our editorial and marketing products in both a print and online format. The graphic designer will join our award-winning multimedia team in revolutionizing media in North Georgia. Candidate will manage the design of print and online products, which includes the creation of digital banner ads and ensuring cohesion of traditional marketing campaigns. Perfect candidate is someone who designs like an artist but thinks like a marketing expert. The content created will help us reach local readers searching for advertising and promotional messages through print or online products via banner ads, emails, social media, contests, etc. If you know how to create dynamic content, visually stunning graphics, and conversion focused marketing that grabs savvy consumers’ attention and generates leads, we want to hear from you. Education & Experience: - High school diploma or GED required - Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university a plus - 2 years related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience in web marketing, website design, and/or information technology a plus - Background in e-commerce and/or user experience and interaction design a plus - Portfolio of work required Qualifications & Skills: - Highly skilled in graphic design and design implementation - Proficiency with relevant design software (Adobe Creative Suite CS5 or higher) including InDesign, Photoshop, DreamWeaver, Illustrator, Acrobat, Internet software and Word Processing software (Word, Powerpoint, etc.) - Understanding of tools like HTML, CSS, Photoshop, JavaScript, LESS/SASS, Stylesheet languages & content management systems (CMS) a plus - Ability to work well with others in a high-pressure, professional environment - A desire to take risks and willingness to adapt - A positive, collaborative attitude and a strong sense of humor
