Were starting the year out on a very positive note! We are very excited to announce that long-time chapter member Stefano Barbosa has been appointed and approved as our new Scholarship Committee Chair. Stefano has been involved with the chapter every year since his graduation in 2006, and were thrilled that his involvement will take on a more formal role with the chapter. The chapters scholarship endowment currently stands at about $34,000 in principal. The interest from this endowment is awarded as scholarships to Miami-area Penn State students. The chapter contributes as much as we can to the endowment each year. A portion of your memberhsip dues are automatically directed to the scholarship fund, and proceeds from things like 50/50 raffles also go towards the endowment.
