Weve been having a really hard time closing down daddys. Its filled with love and memories that simply arnt easy to box up. Today had lots of tears and laughter as we traveled down memory lane. Hammond Tractor was our home. Our happy place, our safe place. Jon, Julie Ann Hammond Wallo and I all worked with daddy. Then our children came along and we raised them there. My Jon and Sam both also worked there. You never knew when my mama, Jason Dire or Mawmaw Peggy Dire would walk through the door. Our customers were our friends. Synovus may take the building and land, but theyll never take whats truly important. Our memories. Who we are, because of how we were raised. So incredibly thankful. As I was going through boxes long tucked away in the attic, I ran across this treasure! I wanted to share my happiness with yall! Its a letter my brother wrote me while he was at Tech. I wouldnt take anything for it. Thanks for traveling this journey with me.
