Weve had a lot of sick kitties lately. Nothing serious, but our veterinary bill is climbing again... Its been around $1,000/month for the past several months. Tess (momma to Talia, Thor and Tyson) kept producing milk even after the kittens were weaned, so shes been on antibiotics due to enlarged mammary glands. Chesters incision after being neutered started an infection so we got him in immediately for antibiotics due to his FIV+ status. Momma Calico was drinking a lot of water, so we had urinary analysis (all was fine) and a culture done to be sure she is okay. Rusty got chronic diarrhea and has been thoroughly checked out, and no bacteria or anything, so we think it could be stress at Petco, so hes coming back to the sanctuary for a while. We take our cats health very, VERY seriously and get them checked out the moment something doesnt appear quite right. This costs us plenty of $$, but we do adopt out healthy cats. If you can manage in your tight budget to donate even $5.00, it would help us. Get your friends to donate $5 as well. Every little bit helps. We and all the cats thank you.
