The courses take us on a fascinating voyage through our languages, increasing our linguistic consciousness and stimulating us to think about the fascinating phenomenon of language in a new way. This has the potential to greatly enrich our lives as we analyse and enjoy language in our everyday environment and learn from or question the inherent wisdom and ideas that are imbedded in the way we say things and the words we use. Languages both permit and require us to interpret and express reality in a certain way. We dont tend to think about it and are therefore generally unaware of the effect this has on our lives.
