We’re appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision that happened at about 4.30pm, yesterday Tuesday 9th on the A40 outside Neville Hall Hospital. The collision involved a car, a Skoda hatchback, and a female pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 70 year woman from the Abergavenny area received serious injuries and is in a critical condition in the University Hospital of Wales. The driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is currently in police custody being questioned. There was a female passenger in the car but she was not hurt. If you can help call us on Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 337 09/09/14.
