We’re ecstatic to announce that Sustainable Conservation-sponsored AB 2193 has passed out of the Assembly Appropriations Committee – unanimously we might add – and onto the Assembly Floor! AB 2193 would establish a simplified permitting process empowering landowners, state and local government agencies, and conservation organizations to undertake small-scale, voluntary habitat restoration projects across the state. By making habitat restoration projects easier and more cost effective, landowners can play a crucial role in preserving California’s rural habitats, urban watersheds and coastal water quality.
